Freshman Jacob Binegar matched Bellmont’s No. 1, Owen Minnick, with a 40 on the Back Nine on the Biggs-Kreigh course at Cross Creek to lead Bellmont to a 167 and an easy win over Southern Wells Wednesday night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minnick played the final four holes on the old course at even par, sinking a birdie putt on No. 18 to claim medalist honors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Binegar was carrying the torch for both himself and his older brother, Ben, who was out for the night with injury. Jacob had the most impressive birdie of the night, marking a 3 on his scorecard on the Par-4 No. 17. He was the only player on the night to birdie that hole. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cameron Summers overcame a disappointing performance from the night before at Eagle Glen and bounced back to shoot a solid 42. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Southern Wells struggled on the new holes, especially, and shot 212. Dirk Frauhiger led the Raiders with a 49. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jack Johnson returned from an admittedly “bad night” at Eagle Glen and led the JVs with a 49 with a par on No. 18. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
