Coming off their very first win in school history, the Bellmont Braves faced a much more potent offense Monday in the Snider Panthers and dropped their match in straight sets, 25-13, 25-16, 25-13. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cam Summers returned to the team after playing for the golf team and missing Saturday’s win, leading the team with six kills. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gavin Krull had two blocks to lead the Braves at the net. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mason Mankey led the team in aces with three. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“They were very good,” admitted coach Craig Krull. “That’s probably the best all-around team we’ve seen all season. We competed well, but just didn’t have enough volleyball knowledge to make adjustments.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now 1-8, Krull knows his team is improving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s good to play good competition,” said Krull, who is still dealing with a fluid roster from night to night with all the two-sport athletes on the squad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
