On a brisk Thursday evening at Wabash Valley Golf Club, the Adams Central golf team hosted Southwood in a tightly-contested dual meet. The\u00a0varsity Jets came up just short, 186\u2013178, while the\u00a0JV team continued their hot streak, securing a 194\u2013209 victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Senior\u00a0Drew Johnson\u00a0led the way for the varsity and claimed\u00a0meet medalist honors\u00a0with a strong round of\u00a042. He was followed by\u00a0Mavrick Becher\u00a0and\u00a0Trace Maller, who each shot\u00a046.\u00a0Jaret Smith\u00a0posted a 51, and\u00a0Zach Frank\u00a0added a 52 to complete the team\u2019s total of\u00a0185.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The JV squad delivered a well-rounded performance, highlighted by\u00a0multiple personal bests.\u00a0Brody Isch\u00a0fired a career-low\u00a045, while\u00a0Ashton Yergler\u00a0added a season-best\u00a047.\u00a0Coltan Landrum\u00a0and\u00a0Myles Kaehr\u00a0each carded\u00a051, and\u00a0Max Kaehr\u00a0contributed a 53 to lock in the victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Several other JV golfers also took to the course, gaining match experience and showcasing improvement.\u00a0Trevor Henry\u00a0and\u00a0Dakota Marbach\u00a0each posted solid rounds of\u00a052, while\u00a0Damien Saalfrank (56),\u00a0Quentin Taylor (58), and\u00a0Harper Hammond (59)\u00a0turned in steady performances on a tough scoring day.\u00a0Trevor Chamberlain (55)\u00a0and\u00a0Noah Grubb (61)\u00a0rounded out the squad\u2019s participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
