{"id":25275,"date":"2025-04-15T09:47:42","date_gmt":"2025-04-15T13:47:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=25275"},"modified":"2025-04-15T09:47:43","modified_gmt":"2025-04-15T13:47:43","slug":"krueckeberg-braves-have-no-mercy-on-jets-in-23-run-romp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2025\/04\/15\/krueckeberg-braves-have-no-mercy-on-jets-in-23-run-romp\/","title":{"rendered":"Krueckeberg, Braves have no mercy on Jets in 23-run romp"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>DANE FUELLING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>WZBD.com<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MONROE &#8211; Oni Krueckeberg banged out three triples in the first three innings, knocking in six runs and scoring four runs herself to lead the Braves in a big, 23-6 win over rival Adams Central Monday night in Monroe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/14aprBigHitsForBellmont.mp3\"><\/audio><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Oni Krueckeberg knocks in a triple, followed by a home run for Bella Ashley in the first inning. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In a half-inning that lasted nearly 30 minutes, the Braves pushed across eleven runs before the home Jets ever came to the plate against Bellmont starter Bella Ashley, who had the biggest hit of the rally &#8211; a two-run home run to center to make the score 11-0. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/14aprBell23AC6wrap.mp3\"><\/audio><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Kent Arnold and Mike Macke wrap up a big win for the Bellmont Braves Monday on the road. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Braves started that big rally with mostly singles, putting the ball in play over the head of the AC infield and in front of the Jets&#8217; outfielders, who had to contend with a wind that was blowing straight out of the diamond. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"www.kjauction.com\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"283\" height=\"79\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/krueckeberg-logo.png?resize=283%2C79&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4001\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Taylor Bauer had two hits in that first inning, part of a 3-for-4 night for the center fielder. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ashley set down the Jets 1-2-3 in the bottom of the first and the hit parade continued for the Braves. Sophia Cole started the inning off with a single and the Braves went up 13-0 on one of Krueckeberg&#8217;s triples. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finnley Godsey doubled in a run to make it 15-0, then left base early to end the inning in a self-imposed moment of mercy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Jets did strike back, however, when coach Mindy Buuck decided to take the 15-run lead as an opportunity to give the Braves&#8217; backup pitcher some work.
