Heritage competed in the inaugural East Allen track and field meet Saturday and finished just behind Leo in third place out of the four district high schools. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leo and New Haven dominated the meet, combining for all the wins on the afternoon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notes & Times: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Wyatt Garland extended his career-best distance from Thursday to take third in the shot put. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Local fans missed out on the opportunity to see two of northeast Indiana’s best throwers face off head-to-head as Charlie Riddle did not compete Saturday against New Haven’s John Bussard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Sawyer Thiele bettered his long jump by half an inch from Thursday’s meet and claimed second place for the Patriots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Preston Moore ran a new PR and finished second in the 300 hurdles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Gavin Juricak and William Voglewede each cut big chunks of time from their 3200 times from Thursday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Hayden Amstein finished in the points in the mile and nearly set a career best, settling instead for a season best and fourth place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
