In other words, they charge us, we charge them. We charge them less, so how can anybody be upset?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are now double digit reciprocal tariffs on many countries, including Japan, Vietnam and South Korea. Trump says the countries charge over-quotas for U.S. rice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"398\" height=\"376\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Trump-Tariffs_2025.jpg?resize=398%2C376&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25006\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Trump-Tariffs_2025.jpg?w=398&amp;ssl=1 398w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Trump-Tariffs_2025.jpg?resize=300%2C283&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 398px) 100vw, 398px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s because they don\u2019t want us selling rice,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The European Union has a 20 percent tariff and India has 26 percent tariff. There is a 10 percent tariff on other trading partners, including Brazil and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ted McKinney with the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) says some of the tariff amounts aren\u2019t surprising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m encouraged with the UK and Brazil.
