Several new names are on the list of bands set to perform this year in the Decatur Chamber of Commerce’s seventh annual Summer Concert Series on the Madison St. Plaza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As in the past, all 13 concerts will be held on Thursdays, with some starting times set for 6 p.m. and others for 7. Finishing times also vary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All but one of the concerts will be held on the Madison St. Plaza. The lone exception is the July 3 performance by Proud Mary CCR, to be held on the Riverside Center parking lot as part of the city’s annual fireworks and veterans’ recognition to celebrate the Fourth of July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No admission will be charged at the concerts. Food and adult beverages will be available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The series kicks off June 5 with Whoa, Man! and winds up on August 28 with the Bulldogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first-timers are Whoa, Man!, Evolution Band, Proud Mary CCR, Sunglasses At Night, Joe Young, Back and Forth Foo Fighters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fort Wayne-based Who, Man! features four alternating female lead singers in a seven-piece band.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
