Krauss, 69, of Decatur Indiana passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was born on January 28, 1956, in Nicholasville, Kentucky to Raymond L. and Barbara (McGrann) Kincaid. She married Curt Krauss on October 5, 1985.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"410\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/9eb1640d-6110-4caa-91b4-ede2a47e6354.jpg?resize=410%2C512&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24568\" style=\"width:305px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/9eb1640d-6110-4caa-91b4-ede2a47e6354.jpg?w=410&amp;ssl=1 410w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/9eb1640d-6110-4caa-91b4-ede2a47e6354.jpg?resize=240%2C300&amp;ssl=1 240w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 410px) 100vw, 410px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout her life, Helen was deeply involved in various organizations, including the American Legion Post #43 Auxiliary, Decatur Moose Lodge #1311, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #6236 Auxiliary, and the Decatur Eagles Lodge Aerie #2653. She devoted over 40 years to her career at REV in Decatur and spent 20 years as a bar manager at the American Legion in Decatur, building lasting relationships and a reputation for her kindness and commitment to service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Helen was a diehard Kentucky Wildcats fan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Survivors include her husband, Curt Krauss of Decatur, Indiana; mother, Barbara Kincaid of Decatur, Indiana; two sons, Daniel Mickley and David (Amanda) Mickley both of Decatur, Indiana; three brothers, Billy Kincaid of Cathedral City, California, Rick Kincaid of Billings, Montana and Mark (Katie) Kincaid of Inverness, Florida; two sisters, Susan (Ted) Buuck and Libby (Joe) Alberding both of Decatur, Indiana; six grandchildren, Alec Ellis, Evynne Mickley, Lydia Mickley, Gregg Shoaf, Carissa Mickley, and Isabelle Mickley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Helen was preceded in death by her father, Raymond L. Kincaid; daughter, Angie Mickley; brother, Raymond E. Kincaid; and sister, Cecile Lynn Kincaid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2025 at Zwick &amp; Jahn Funeral Home \u2013 Decatur with Life Celebrant Molly Farthing officiating. Burial will follow in the Decatur Cemetery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Family and friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the Zwick &amp; Jahn Funeral Home \u2013 Decatur and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preferred memorials can be given to the Moose Heart.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Helen C.
