(Williams) Roe.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"410\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/1bd27a2a-5c52-462e-9a05-905ffdc20a36.jpg?resize=410%2C512&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24160\" style=\"width:193px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/1bd27a2a-5c52-462e-9a05-905ffdc20a36.jpg?w=410&amp;ssl=1 410w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/1bd27a2a-5c52-462e-9a05-905ffdc20a36.jpg?resize=240%2C300&amp;ssl=1 240w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 410px) 100vw, 410px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Betty was united in marriage to Roger Davis Ripley on December 4, 1954, in Decatur, Indiana and he preceded her in death on May 11, 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She attended Cornerstone Community Church in Decatur and previously attended Union United Methodist Church.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Betty worked at Pleasant Mills Elevator as a secretary and later was a secretary at North Adams Community School. She spent most of her time raising her family with her husband, but also she was a bookkeeper for Roe-Ripley Construction, of which she and her husband operated.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>She enjoyed bowling, playing cards with her family and doing yardwork.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Betty is survived by her son, Kevin (Kristie) Ripley of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Sherry (Richard) Grote of Goshen, Indiana; son-in-law, Kim (Peggy) Schamerloh of Bluffton, Indiana; sister, Barbara Friend of Clemson, South Carolina; seven grandchildren: Brad Schamerloh, Jenny (Matt) Koerner, Megan (Tyler) Bearman, Randon (Mary) Ripley, Kylee (Jeremy) Johnson, Kaitlynn (Mike) Cramer and Trey (Melody) Grote; 14 great-grandchildren: Noah and Eli Schamerloh, Aubrey and Hannah Koerner, Brooke and Beau Bearman, Xavier, Liesl, Georgiana and James Ripley, Colten, Hunter, Ellie Johnson, and Kason Grote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was preceded in death by son, Roger Duane Ripley; daughter, Rozelyn Schamerloh; two great-granddaughters, Lillian Schamerloh and Elena Grote; brother-in-law, Larry Friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2025, at Zwick &amp; Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur with Pastor Kenneth Hogg officiating.
