Young, 68, of rural Zanesville, passed away Friday afternoon, May 12, 2023, at his residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mike was born on Dec. 23, 1954, to Ralph and Beula Young.&nbsp;&nbsp;He married Jackie Perry in Angola on June 10, 1994; she survives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mike graduated from Angola High School and later received his bachelor\u2019s degree in business management from Tri-State University.&nbsp;&nbsp;He worked for several area employers, including the Indiana State Highway Department for several years.&nbsp;&nbsp;He spent his life working as a mechanic, and especially enjoyed working on cars and tractors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by three sons, Kevin (Jamie) Perry, Jonah Perry, and Shawn Perry, all of Zanesville; along with nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mike was preceded in death by his parents, along with a son, Steven Perry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visitation will be Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM, at Goodwin \u2013 Cale &amp; Harnish Memorial Chapel, followed immediately by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, at the funeral home.&nbsp;&nbsp;Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Bluffton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Memorial contributions may be made to the Bluffton-Wells County Animal Shelter, in care of \u201cFriends of the Shelter\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(Dec. 23, 1954 &#8211; May 12, 2023) Michael \u201cMike\u201d R.
