Hockemeyer, 92, of Hoagland, Indiana, passed away on Sunday evening, February 2, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Charlotte was born on September 18, 1932 in Uniontown, Missouri to the late Ernst Brockmann and Norma Brockmann. Charlotte was united in marriage to Melvin H. \u201cMort\u201d Hockemeyer on September 26, 1954 and he preceded her in death on June 2, 1997.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"410\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/7dc7188f-e6e2-4d48-9610-078721197a1e.jpg?resize=410%2C512&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23873\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/7dc7188f-e6e2-4d48-9610-078721197a1e.jpg?w=410&amp;ssl=1 410w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/7dc7188f-e6e2-4d48-9610-078721197a1e.jpg?resize=240%2C300&amp;ssl=1 240w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 410px) 100vw, 410px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Charlotte was a member of St. John Lutheran Church \u2013 Flatrock in Monroeville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the many aspects of her life in which she was thankful, being with her family, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren brought her great joy as she watched them all grow over the years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Charlotte is survived by her three daughters, Deb Hockemeyer, of Hoagland, Indiana; Sharon (Mark) Rosene of Monroeville, Indiana; and Susan (Mark) Shollenberger of Angola, Indiana; 6 grandchildren: Kristin (Darin) Shoaf, Dale (Cassandra) Rosene, Bree (Zak) Wilson, Audrey (Tyler) Waldrop, Kay (Josh) Quandt, and Weston (Abby) Rosene; 9 great-grandchildren: Otto Rosene, Dean Rosene, Les Shoaf, Jaxon Shoaf, Oliver Rosene, Charlotte Rosene, Ava Waldrop, Cora Quandt, and Mara Wilson; brother, Virgil (Phyllis) Brockmann of Fort Wayne, Indiana and brother, James (Cheryl) Brockmann; sister-in-law, Barbara Gurney of St. Paul, Minnesota; and Mort\u2019s sister-in-law, Shirley Mailand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Melvin \u201cMort\u201d Hockemeyer; one brother, Edward Brockmann and sister, Anna Mae Brockmann in infancy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funeral services for Charlotte will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at St. John Lutheran Church \u2013 Flatrock with Pastor Douglas Christian officiating. Burial will follow the services at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Flatrock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 3-8 p.m. at the St. John Lutheran Church \u2013 Flatrock Fellowship Center and from 9:00 \u2013 9:45 a.m. on Thursday at the church prior to services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preferred memorials in Charlotte\u2019s honor can be made to John Lutheran Church- Flatrock or Worship Anew.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Charlotte L.
