Heritage 80 Southern Wells 50<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just three days ahead of another edition of the ACAC Tourney, the Heritage Patriots might have declared themselves as the favorite with a dominating win at Southern Wells as they were the only team to survive the first two gamedays as the only unbeaten side in the conference with an 80-50 win over the Raiders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Landon Lybarger led all scorers with a big, 20-point effort for the Patriots in the RaiderDome, where Heritage have now won 11 in a row dating all the way back to 2001. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Junior Lantae Cassell had 14 and Taurean Brown and Lucas Taylor each reached double digits with ten points to move the team to 6-3 this season ahead of enjoying the first-round bye in next week’s ACAC tournament. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adams Central will be favored to advance against Southern Wells Tuesday night (the game will be broadcast live on WZBD, 92.7 FM) as the Raiders fell to 0-8 with Saturday’s loss and that would give Heritage the opportunity to knock off the defending tourney champs on Friday night at home. Friday’s semifinal will also be heard live on 92.7 FM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jay County 62 Adams Central 49<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trace Maller had a whopping 27 points and Braylend Reber added 13, but just four Jets reached the scoring column in a 13-point loss to Jay County. Drew Johnson had two points and Lawson Deathe had seven in the loss. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

South Adams 53 Blackford 49<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

South Adams outscored Blackford 27-16 in the first half and held off the Bruins for a non-conference win and just the Starfires’ second this season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tytus Lehman led the Starfires with 23 points, knocking down 5 of the 6 free throws he attempted in the final quarter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Starfires will host Jay County Tuesday in the first round of the ACAC Tourney. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Woodlan 56 Bluffton 40<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Woodlan and Bluffton played each other Saturday ahead of coming right back on Tuesday and doing it again on the exact same court. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
