undefeated teams Tuesday night in the Hangar and the Adams Central Jets showed a lot of tenacity despite a 44-26 loss to the visiting New Haven Bulldogs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Jets won five bouts against the 3A Team State-bound team and they will wrestle each other again on Saturday in the Yorktown Super 10<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/17decCurrieInterview.mp3\"><\/audio><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Coach Tony Currie spoke with the Z Team about his team&#8217;s effort Tuesday night. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>With just four bouts remaining, the Jets still maintained a lead in the team score, pushing New Haven about as far as they had been Beer stayed off his back against Sean Harris in the opening match at 126, Jackson Bingham came right back and scored nearfall in the first period with a double wing, going on to win by tech fall to beat New Haven&#8217;s talented freshman, Malachi Thullner, with a late takedown in the third period, winning 5-2. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brason Schortgen followed that up with a first-period fall and the Doster led 13-2 after a period against Mav Dubach, but the Jet wrestler yielded just a takedown in the second and it took a Doster takedown in the third to score the tech fall, giving the Bulldogs a slim lead at 15-14. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That brought up one of the wildest matches of the evening, where a late scramble gave Ian Amstutz a 13-11 win in the final seconds. Or was it 15-11?
