“For much of the fourth quarter they pulled the ball out,” noted head coach Brett Freeman, “and that made us chase. On the offensive end, we missed a few point-blank shots that really could have put some pressure on them.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite the loss, Freeman felt like his team still took a big step forward Tuesday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They will look to win an ACAC game Saturday against Heritage. The Patriots also have just one win. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuesday Night: (Boys) Concordia Lutheran 41 Bellmont 35<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nCameron Summers knocked down two threes and led the Bellmont Braves in their home opener in scoring, but the team fell 41-35 to Concordia Tuesday. The sophomore finished with 11 points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Braves cut the Cadets’ lead to 37-33 in the final quarter with just under three minutes to play, but only managed one bucket the rest of the way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coach Selking, in his second season as head coach, will seek his first win of the season in the team’s third game at Canterbury on Saturday evening. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Olivia Lybarger led the Pats in scoring with ten while knocking down a couple of threes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
