The Adams County Historical Society (ACHS) rolls into December with several activities scheduled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Events begin this Saturday with pictures with Santa offered at the society’s museum, 420 W. Monroe St., Decatur. The Dugan Mansion museum has been decorated for the Christmas season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Photos with Santa will be taken from 4 to 7 p.m., but those interested need to make an appointment with Sacred Images, (260) 233-1137.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sessions of 5-10 minutes will be offered, with a 5×7 print or digital file being $25 ($10 for each additional image).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Sunday, the society will hold a Holiday Open House at the museum, from 1-4 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No admission will be charged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following weekend, on Saturday, Dec. 14, the society will hold its sixth annual Mingle & Jingle Cookie Sale at the museum The sale will run from 1-4 p.m., with a box of cookies priced at $10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to those activities, the ACHS is currently offering for sale a collection of historical note cards with envelopes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each card depicts a building: The county courthouse, the Niblick house, the Pennsy Depot, and the Dugan Museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
