{"id":21781,"date":"2024-11-25T05:44:38","date_gmt":"2024-11-25T10:44:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=21781"},"modified":"2024-11-25T05:44:39","modified_gmt":"2024-11-25T10:44:39","slug":"city-hall-closings-set-pickups-altered","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2024\/11\/25\/city-hall-closings-set-pickups-altered\/","title":{"rendered":"City Hall closings set; pickups altered"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By BOB SHRALUKA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>WZBD.com<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Decatur City Hall will be closing Friday and Saturday, Nov. 28 and 29, in observance of Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>City Operations Manager Jeremy Gilbert recently told city council that trash and recycling collections will altered, with Thursday&#8217;s normal pickup done on Friday, while the normal Friday route will be run on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>City officials reminded local residents that utility payments may be made in a dropbox behind City Hall, or paid at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityofdecatur.in.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.cityofdecatur.in.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LOADING LEAVES:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gilbert also told council that the annual leaf collection \u201cis starting to get in a good position.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the sanitation department is \u201cshooting for Dec. 6 (to wrap up the pickups), but that doesn&#8217;t mean we will be done by that day.
