Bultemeier, 65, of Monroeville, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was born on January 12, 1959, in Decatur, Indiana to the late Norvin \u201cSnorty\u201d and Ileen Ruth (Lampe) Bultemeier. Roger was united in marriage to Carla Grote on April 11, 1987 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"611\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/9104083.jpg?resize=400%2C611&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21102\" style=\"width:211px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/9104083.jpg?w=400&amp;ssl=1 400w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/9104083.jpg?resize=196%2C300&amp;ssl=1 196w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Decatur. &nbsp;He was a member of the church choir and the Lutheran Choral for many years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roger was the owner and operator of Village Green Cleaners in Decatur for over 30 years, until his retirement in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roger was always involved in his children\u2019s activities. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, which allowed him to serve as a \u2018father figure\u2019 to many. &nbsp;He was an active volunteer on the \u2018Chain Gang\u2019 for Bellmont football. &nbsp;He also volunteered and was involved with the Bellmont wrestling program. Roger loved music and enjoyed singing. &nbsp;He was a lifelong fisherman, a fan of golf and the Detroit Tigers. He appreciated everything with the outdoors, even sitting on the porch and watching a sunset with his friend Buck. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Survivors include his wife, Carla Bultemeier of Monroeville, Indiana; three sons, Victor (Stephanie) Bultemeier of Woodburn, Indiana, Benjamin (Courtney) Bultemeier of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and&nbsp;Andrew Bultemeier of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Malinda Bultemeier of Chattanooga, Tennessee; two granddaughters, Anya Copeland and Alexis Copeland; sister, Ann Souder &nbsp;of Decatur, Indiana; and nephew, Christopher Souder of Tampa, Florida<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Decatur with Pastor David Koeneman officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Decatur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Family and friends will be received from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Zwick &amp; Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, and from 9:45 \u2013 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preferred memorials can be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or St. Peter Immanuel Lutheran School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Roger L.
