The Jay School Corporation continues to recover from tornado damage to the Jay County Junior-Senior High School.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Superintendent Jeremy Gulley is estimating that the repair costs for the school building will be in the millions of dollars. The part of the building which was damaged housed the 450 Junior High students of the school.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Repairs are not expected to be completed until the beginning of the next school year. Temporary classroom space has been created in the high school portion of the building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jay County building was damaged by an F-1 tornado which struck the building on Sunday, September 22nd.\u00a0The Junior-Senior High School students were out of school all of last week while the cleanup continued and just returned for in person classes this past Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
