{"id":20249,"date":"2024-10-01T15:06:48","date_gmt":"2024-10-01T19:06:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=20249"},"modified":"2024-10-01T15:06:49","modified_gmt":"2024-10-01T19:06:49","slug":"jane-linker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2024\/10\/01\/jane-linker\/","title":{"rendered":"Jane Linker"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Jane Ann Linker, 77, of Monroeville, Indiana formerly of Hoagland, passed away Monday afternoon, September 30, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was born on February 16, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio to Edgele &amp; Loretta (Distelrath) Jones and was adopted and raised by Paul W. &amp; Irma E. (VanHatten) Rodance. &nbsp;Jane was united in marriage to David R. Linker on June 25, 1993 in Las Vegas, Nevada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jane was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling in Decatur. &nbsp;Jane believed in being active in her community to assist others. &nbsp;She was involved with the Hoagland Area Advancement Association (HAAA), Hoagland Chamber of Commerce, and was a Madison Township Trustee for 12 years. &nbsp;She was known for her involvement through HAAA in the Children\u2019s Christmas Party along with the annual Hoagland Days Parade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jane was employed by Ryder Truck Leasing in New Haven from the 1980\u2019s through its closing in 1996. &nbsp;She then worked at Central States Grain in New Haven, retiring in 2018. &nbsp;She worked in the HR Department at Central States, which involved baking cakes for all the employees\u2026which was not in the handbook!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jane spent her free time being engaged with her grandchildren and great grandchildren as they participated in various activities. &nbsp;Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) sports, IU sports, giving constant supervision to Dave, Christmas and other holiday parties for the family and friends\u2026she loved to entertain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is survived by her husband, David Linker of Monroeville, Indiana; son, Donny Dames of Conneaut, Ohio; two daughters, Paula (Todd) Bennett of Monroeville, Indiana and Carrie (Scott) Hambleton of Angola, Indiana; 13 grandchildren, Cory Carr, Cassie Carr, Colton Martin, Carissa Martin, Ashley (Matt) Cour, &nbsp;Jacob (Erica) Hambleton, Ryan Hambleton Logan Dames, Shayla Dames, Brock Farley, Kendall Farley, Caden Farley, and Kayla Farley; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Randy (Stephanie) Jones of Geneva, Ohio; and two sisters, Donna (Richard) Nelson of Chesapeake, Virginia and Leslie (Eddie) Saffell of Tulsa, Oklahoma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was preceded in death by a son, Carl \u201cChip\u201d Carr and a daughter, Tracy Carr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2024, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling with Pastor Leonard Tanksley officiating. &nbsp;Burial will follow at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Family and friends will be received from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2024, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preferred memorials are to St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arrangements are by Zwick &amp; Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville, Indiana.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jane Ann Linker, 77, of Monroeville, Indiana formerly of Hoagland, passed away Monday afternoon, September 30, 2024 at<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":20261,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[8],"tags":[23],"class_list":["post-20249","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-obituaries","tag-obit"],"jetpack_featured_media_url":"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/9084058_fbs.jpg?fit=200%2C200&ssl=1","jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/20249","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/3"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=20249"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/20249\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":20262,"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/20249\/revisions\/20262"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/20261"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=20249"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=20249"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=20249"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
