Sheets, 33, of Willshire, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital. He was born in Decatur, on August 15, 1991, the son of D\u2019Wight and Michelle (Carr) Sheets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was a member of St. Paul\u2019s Church and Masonic Lodge &#8211; Shane\u2019s Lodge #377 in Rockford, OH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mark was a lifetime member of the Willshire Fire Department, was on the Willshire Board of Public Affairs and a past member of the Village Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was involved in the Van Wert County Fair Auxiliary, a member of the Old-Fashioned Farmers Association and was a truck driver for Doug Bradtmueller Trucking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is survived by his parents, D\u2019Wight and Michelle Sheets; his brother, Brett (Sarah) Sheets of Ohio City, OH; nieces, Willow &amp; Karisa; nephews, Everest &amp; Chayse; dog, Snoopy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mark was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles \u201cEd\u201d and Mary Sheets; maternal grandparents, Gene Carr; Ed and Mary Jane Krueckeberg; uncle, Jeff Sheets; cousins, B.J. and Stephanie Carr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visitation will be from 3:00 \u2013 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2024, at Haggard-Hirschy &amp; Zelt Funeral Home, following will be a Masonic Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2024, at St. Paul\u2019s Church with visitation before the service from 9:00 \u2013 10:00 a.m. Pastor Steve Drake will be officiating and burial will follow in St. Paul\u2019s Cemetery. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Memorials may be given to St. Paul\u2019s Church or Masonic Lodge \u2013 Shane\u2019s Lodge #377.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arrangements were entrusted to Haggard-Hirschy &amp; Zelt Funeral Home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mark J.
