Witt, 57, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at her residence.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was born on October 23, 1966 in Algona, Iowa to the late Delbert and Mary (Fuoss) Harrison. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<br>Dawn was an honorably discharged member of the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Sergeant. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was united in marriage to Rev. David L. Witt on June 12, 2002 at Eternal Trinity Lutheran Church in Milton, FL and he survives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dawn was a member at St. Paul Lutheran Church \u2013 Preble. &nbsp;She was a 1985 graduate of Ft. Dodge Sr. High School. &nbsp;She also graduated from Southwest Texas Junior College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dawn was a homemaker. &nbsp;Following her marriage to David, she was employed in management for 20 years. &nbsp;While in Mobile, Alabama with her husband, she was employed doing data entry at Thomas Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dawn liked to sew and write letters to her friends and family. &nbsp;She loved her flowers and tending her flower gardens. &nbsp;She enjoyed canning fruits and vegetables. &nbsp;Dawn loved her Golden Retrievers and her pet rabbit, Banjo. &nbsp;But the most important thing to Dawn was her faith is Jesus Christ, her Savior. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Survivors include her husband, Rev. David L. Witt of Decatur, Indiana; son, Thomas J. DeLuca III of Brooklyn, New York; and sister, Denise Harrison of Badger, Iowa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dawn was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ronald Harrison and Raymond Harrison; and her son, Jacob Landon Witt in infancy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church \u2013 Preble, with Pastor Andrew Yeager officiating. &nbsp;Burial will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service on Monday, September 23, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church \u2013 Preble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Military graveside honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #43 Color Guard<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preferred memorials can be given to Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, &#8211; Kramer Chapel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arrangements by Zwick and Jahn Funeral Homes of Decatur, Indiana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dawn M.
