The South Adams Starfires’ top two singles players retained their undefeated records Monday night against the Norwell Knights, but the team could not find a third point to beat their sectional rivals in a great high school tennis match. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cole Hyman dropped the first set at No. 1 singles and looked like his perfect season might be in trouble, but he recovered to win the last two sets comfortably. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The top doubles team for the Starfires bounced back from a loss in the opening set to even things and force a third set, but Norwell claimed the doubles match and the team match with a 6-2 win in the final set. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Starfires will look to bounce back with an important match against another potential sectional opponent when they host Adams Central Tuesday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
