The county&#8217;s director of the Council on Aging is Michelle Lengerich, and she is in charge of the Adams County Transit System.  Lengerich told WZBD&#8217;s Ed Thurman that the bus and van system has grown substantially over the past couple of years&#8230;but funding is starting to become an issue&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/NEWSwed-4.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The 8-bay facility to house the buses and vans used by the county&#8217;s transit system is being paid for through a combination of federal, state, and local funding, and should take less than a month to build once construction begins.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Adams County&#8217;s public transportation system is running well and growing in popularity.
