The South Adams Starfires moved to 2-0 in the ACAC with a nine-stroke victory over Heritage at Wabash Valley Wednesday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Stars shot a solid 213 to beat Heritage by nine strokes. Julia Arnold earned medalist honors with a 46, outpacing the rest of the field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This course is just in perfect condition,” said coach Chris Toledo, “and we are 2-0 in the ACAC, so it’s a good day. It’s great to see other conference teams bringing JV teams.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexis Bremer was the top scorer for the visiting Patriots, shooting 50, six shots better than her round there just two weeks ago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SA head coach Chris Toledo got excellent play from his No. 4 and 5, with Kendall Minger and Sophia Orr each recording their best rounds on the front nine at Wabash Valley with a 56 and a 58, respectively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The varsity still has room for improvement,” said Toledo, “but the good news is we are all striking the ball more solidly.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
