The links at Wabash Valley were friendly to the South Adams Starfires as they picked up a victory in their ACAC opener in front of a nice crowd on a beautiful night, beating the Woodlan Warriors by a score of 204 to 227. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Starfire No. 1, Julia Arnold, played her career-best round on her home course and finished with medalist honors and a 40. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The girls showed me that they can compete,” head coach Chris Toledo told WZBD. “And the JV is off and running. It was good to see a lot of fans at the course from both teams.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Toledo also noted that his No. 4 and No. 5, Kendall Minger and Nora Ringger, each shot personal best rounds on the night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Stars are right back in action Tuesday night at Wabash Valley against interstate rival, Fort Recovery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
