The process will be a lengthy one because it includes records that date back to the early 1800&#8217;s when Indiana first became a state.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>County Clerk Shelly Britt is overseeing the project, and spoke about it with WZBD&#8217;s Ed Thurman&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/NEWSwed.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of the funding to digitize the county records will come from federal American Relief Plan money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, the County Commissioners are finalizing plans to sell excess personal property and other items from the old Golden Meadows Retirement Home which closed earlier this year.  A public auction to sell off the items to the public is set for Saturday, September 14 at Golden Meadows.
