On Aug 6, 2024 the winners of the children\u2019s bicycles were given their brand-new bikes at the Adams County Jail. The winner of the girl\u2019s bike was Ruby Carpenter, daughter of Samantha Carpenter of Decatur. The winner of the boy\u2019s bike was Connor Rice, son of Ryan and Amy Rice of Decatur. These children stop in at the Sheriff\u2019s office booth and sign up for a chance to win a new bike. Every year the Sheriff\u2019s office really enjoys seeing and meeting the youth of our county at the fair. This was a great way for these young people to kick off a new school year with a new bike.
The Sheriff\u2019s office always wants the kids to be safe while riding their bikes. Wear a helmet and always look for vehicles driving around you. Have a great school year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
