<\/figure>\n\n\n\nMaury was united in marriage to Sharon K. Gibson on October 16, 1965, at First Missionary Church in Decatur, and she survives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maury graduated from Ossian High School in 1959. He was baptized on August 24, 1941 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, where he was also confirmed into the Evangelical Lutheran faith on April 3, 1955. Maury was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne where he was a fixture in the church choir, and a member of the Men\u2019s Bible Study. He continued to share his love of music by being an active participant in the Lutheran Men of Song. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maury was a lifelong farmer and worked at JB Tool in Fort Wayne as a tool and die maker. He later established his own business of Springer Manufacturing in 1979. He spent his leisure time at the family cottage on Pleasant Lake Michigan, where he enjoyed water skiing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Sharon K. (Gibson) Springer of Fort Wayne, Indiana; son, Rev. Jeffrey (Nancy) Springer of Fort Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Jill (Tony) Bauermeister of Ossian, Indiana; brother, Ronald (Jacqueline) Springer of Yoder, Indiana; three grandchildren, Ryan Springer, Caleb Lenardson, and Rachel Lenardson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W Jefferson Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46802, with Pastor Thomas Eggold officiating. A private family interment at St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery will follow the funeral service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 5-7 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2024 at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
