{"id":17633,"date":"2024-07-12T17:45:33","date_gmt":"2024-07-12T21:45:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=17633"},"modified":"2024-07-12T17:45:35","modified_gmt":"2024-07-12T21:45:35","slug":"james-stephenson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2024\/07\/12\/james-stephenson\/","title":{"rendered":"James Stephenson"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>James Allen \u201cJim\u201d Stephenson, 75, of Monroeville, Indiana passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at his residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"655\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/9004848.jpg?resize=400%2C655&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17634\" style=\"width:156px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/9004848.jpg?w=400&amp;ssl=1 400w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/9004848.jpg?resize=183%2C300&amp;ssl=1 183w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>He was born on April 18, 1949, in Decatur, Indiana to the late Keith Stephenson and the late Phyllis (Hook) Stephenson. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jim was employed by the Ft. Wayne Foundry where he was involved with production. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Being outside with nature provided Jim with satisfaction in his life. &nbsp;Among the activities he enjoyed throughout his life were hunting and fishing, but if there was something to be done outside, you could be assured Jim would be there. &nbsp;He was also known for his talent of telling \u201clong tall stories\u201d which never seemed to end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Survivors include his daughter, Candy Trabel (Rod Rhymer) of Monroeville, Indiana; three grandchildren, Cursty J. Drake, Curstin J. Stephenson, and Cajoel J.A. Trabel; one great-grandchildren, William Creps; four brothers, John Stephenson of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Terry (Edie) Stephenson, Clarence \u201cHider\u201d (Michelle Hill) Stephenson, and Darrell (Tina) Stephenson all of Monroeville, Indiana; three sisters, Arlene (Lloyd) Leininger of Monroeville, Indiana, Bobbi (Wayne) Meyer of Monroeville, Indiana, and Karen Colwell of Columbia City, Indiana.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by two great grandchildren, Cooper and Caren; and a sister, Darla Rhymer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at the Zwick &amp; Jahn Funeral Home \u2013 Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville with Pastor Ralph Klinker officiating.
