It was placement week for the men’s golf league at Cross Creek to end the first half as teams played the opponent closest to them in the standings before starting the second half. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Java Bean team held a four-point lead over Eichhorn Jewelry coming into the night and emerged with a title despite a 6-4 loss. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kevin Geyer led the way for the team with a 37. Only Nate Kortenber and Ty Razo went lower on the night with 36s. Razo’s Decatur Package Liquors team actually swept their way into second place, passing Eichhorn’s with a 10-0 win over the Chicotes team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mike Macke shot 39 for the Java Bean team to round out the first half. The team shot a gross 165, just five strokes behind the Mr. Grumpy Pants team, which was led by Kortenber’s 36. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
