{"id":17211,"date":"2024-06-15T07:19:48","date_gmt":"2024-06-15T11:19:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=17211"},"modified":"2024-06-15T07:19:49","modified_gmt":"2024-06-15T11:19:49","slug":"anastasia-geels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2024\/06\/15\/anastasia-geels\/","title":{"rendered":"Anastasia Geels"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Anastasia Mae Geels, 34, of Brookville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Wednesday, Wednesday, June 12, 2024, following a medical event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"524\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/8979356.jpg?resize=400%2C524&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17212\" style=\"width:168px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/8979356.jpg?w=400&amp;ssl=1 400w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/8979356.jpg?resize=229%2C300&amp;ssl=1 229w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>She was born on September 24, 1989 in Decatur, Indiana to Leo Vincent Geels and the late Stella Louise (Bargy) Geels-Ball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anastasia was a member of The Ridge Church in Brookville, Ohio. She was employed at Taylor Communications in Promotional Sales for over 5 years. She recently obtained her bachelor\u2019s degree in Social Work and was working toward obtaining her Master\u2019s degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Survivors include her father Leo (Lynda) Geels of Piqua, Ohio; sister, Samantha Geels of Longview, Texas; brother, Leo (Missy) Geels Jr. of Cold Springs, Kentucky; brother, Isaiah (Dalia) Medina Geels of Poneto, Indiana; niece, Amelia Martinez of Poneto, Indiana; and maternal grandparents; Ken &amp; Dorothy Bargy of New Haven, Indiana.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Francis and Nonna Geels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2024, at the Zwick &amp; Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne, Indiana, with Pastor David Thomasson officiating. &nbsp;Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Geneva, Indiana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2024, at the Zwick &amp; Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne, Indiana and one hour prior to the service on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preferred memorials can be given to the Poneto Baptist Church.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anastasia Mae Geels, 34, of Brookville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Wednesday, Wednesday, June 12,<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[8],"tags":[23],"class_list":["post-17211","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-obituaries","tag-obit"],"jetpack_featured_media_url":"","jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/17211","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=17211"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/17211\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=17211"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=17211"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=17211"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
