The Adams County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that the North Adams Arts Council received an ACCF grant for the 13th Annual Decatur Sculpture Tour Unveiling Day event, which will be held on Saturday, June 8th at 3:00 p.m. and will be filled with family-friendly activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DST Unveiling Day events will include several exciting activities for the public, including sculpture installation, plein air paint out, young dancers\u2019 performance, children\u2019s chalk walk, food vendors, plein air painting sale and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2024 Decatur Sculpture Tour will feature dozens of new sculptures in downtown Decatur from over 20 artists from all over the United States. In addition to the new sculptures, artists and visitors can also admire additional sculptures in the Riverside Sculpture Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hoosier Pattern Second Annual Iron Pour begins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Hoosier Pattern (906 N. 10th<\/sup>\u00a0Street, Decatur). This amazingly impressive display of molten metal will transform 300 individually created sand molds into heavy-weight artistic creations.\u00a0These iron-work artists from Wisconsin are in Decatur for this very special event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Wildflowers Concert, in memory of Connor Brite, begins Saturday at 5:00 p.m. with a variety of bands, food, and drink options on the Madison Street Plaza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Susan Roe, DST Committee member and grant writer,\u00a0expressed appreciation to the ACCF for providing this support, which helps make the Unveiling Day event possible.\u00a0Greg Fleming, ACCF Board of Directors and grants committee member, stated that the ACCF is a proud sponsor of the Decatur Sculpture Tour.\u00a0 This family-friendly event brings many artists and visitors into the community and boosts the local economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This ACCF grant was made possible through unrestricted funds sponsored by the Charlie & Jean (Porter) Brune, First Bank of Berne, and James \u2018Barney\u2019 Schultz Community Enrichment funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
