Mark Banta, 69, of Geneva, IN, passed away at 11:01 AM on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at his residence in Geneva, IN. He was born on Wednesday, October 27, 1954, in Portland, IN. Mark was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a 1973 graduate of South Adams High School. Mark spent 13 years at Mobile Medical in Decatur building ambulances, he worked for Red Gold for 6 years and at Automatic Sprinkler in Monroe, IN, for several years. Mark was a member of the Geneva Vol. Fire Dept. for many years and of the Indiana Volunteer Fireman’s Association. He was an avid Indy race car fan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mark is survived by his brother – Malcolm J. Banta, Englewood, FL. sister-in-law \u2013 Betty J. Banta, niece \u2013 Dawn Knezic, Bridgman, MI, nephew \u2013 Travis Banta, Naples, FL, and 3 grandnieces \u2013 Addison, Avery, and Harper, Naples, FL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was preceded in death by his Father – Robert ‘Malcolm’ Banta and Mother – Julia Waneeta (Farris) Banta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There will be no services at this time. Burial will take place at the West Lawn Cemetery, Geneva, IN. at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
