Despite playing just seven games so far this year, the Bellmont Braves received good news when Sunday’s sectional baseball draw was released. After losing 10-0 to Norwell last week, the Braves were drawn on the opposite side from the Knights and will need to win just two games to win a sectional title at the end of the month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Norwell won 10-0 when the two teams met last Thursday. The Knights are undoubtedly the favorites to win this year’s title, the first with the new field of teams after IHSAA realignment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also of note – the Bellmont schedule does not include games against the other four teams in the field this year. That is likely to change for 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
