A home run by MaryKate Scheumann, her second in two days, and a big night at the plate by Aaliyah Faurote led the Bellmont Braves into the championship game of the 3A Oak Hill sectional with a win over Maconaquah Wednesday night, 13-3. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Just as she did Tuesday night, Scheumann homered in the first inning to put Bellmont up 2-0 and the Braves never looked back. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bella Ashley started the game and threw four innings, allowing three runs on six hits. MK took over in the fifth and settled down after allowing a double to the first batter, throwing two scoreless innings and striking out five. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aaliyah Faurote was 4 for 4 with a triple, a double and a stolen base from the No. 9 spot in the lineup. Bella Ashley also had two hits, including a double. Liz Bobay knocked in two runs with a single. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
