{"id":16522,"date":"2024-05-21T08:13:25","date_gmt":"2024-05-21T12:13:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=16522"},"modified":"2024-05-21T08:13:26","modified_gmt":"2024-05-21T12:13:26","slug":"imogene-bultemeier","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2024\/05\/21\/imogene-bultemeier\/","title":{"rendered":"Imogene Bultemeier"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Imogene Bultemeier, 98, of Decatur, Indiana passed away, Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Adams Woodcrest in Decatur.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was born on April 17, 1926, in Preble Township, Indiana to the late Carl W. and Elsie\u00a0(Roembke) Heckman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/8955928_fbs.jpg?resize=200%2C200&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16523\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/8955928_fbs.jpg?w=200&amp;ssl=1 200w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/8955928_fbs.jpg?resize=150%2C150&amp;ssl=1 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Imogene was united in marriage to Gilbert W. Bultemeier on September 20, 1947, at Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim, and he preceded her in death on October 12, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, on the Ladies Aide Society, and the Lutheran Women\u2019s Missionary League. In Imogene\u2019s younger years, she was a member of the Adams County Nurses Association, Lutheran Hospital Alumni, and the Sunny Circle Extension Homemakers Club.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Imogene graduated from Ossian High School in 1944 and went on to obtain her RN at the Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing. &nbsp;She was employed at Visiting Nurses Association in Fort Wayne as a registered nurse for 28 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>She enjoyed quilting, sewing, fishing and cooking wonderful dishes\u2026 her applesauce. Imogene was dedicated to reading her Bible and her daily devotions.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is survived by two sisters, Donna (Noel) Fenner of Cincinnati, Ohio; Betty Schroeder of Auburn, Indiana; brother, Maurice \u201cButch\u201d (Laura) Heckman of Fort Wayne, Indiana; son-in-law, David Sinn of Decatur, Indiana; son-in-law, John \u201cBobby\u201d Powell of Greencastle, Indiana; four grandsons, Christopher (Shannon) Sinn, Mark (Samantha) Sinn, Jason (Nichole) Monnier, Johnathon Monnier; 12 great-grandchildren, Shauri (Patrick) Burkart, Sean Sinn, Cameron Sinn, Kayla (Jared) Feller, Kiara Sinn, Kloee Sinn, and Kalan Sinn, Devin (Kayla) Monnier, Jordin Monnier, Madisyn Monnier, Coleson Monnier and Ava Monnier; 14 great-great-grandchildren, Kaven Small, Eliana Burkart, Camdyn Burkart, Everleigh Feller, Paisley Feller, Charlotte Turner, Mia Monnier, Maci Monnier, Madilyn Monnier, Mallori Monnier, Jackson Monnier, Hendrix Monnier, Quinnlyn Doan and Athena Monnier-O\u2019Dell<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to her parents, husband, Gilbert Bultemeier; she was also preceded in death by two daughters, Carla Powell and Deanna Sinn; and a brother in infancy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024, Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ossian with Pastor Samuel Wirgau officiating.
