<\/figure>\n\n\n\nBob first noticed Jeanette A. Bleeke when he was a senior in high school and she was a freshman. On March 29, 1953, he and Jeanette were married in Adams County, Indiana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was a member of St. Mark\u2019s Church in Decatur and the American Legion Post #43.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bob & Jeanette were the previous owners and operators of Fuhrman Electric from which they retired in 1995, as well as the owners of Fuhrman Excavating where they retired in 2002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bob loved going to horse shows with Jeanette and their daughters and Lake George with his grandchildren. He attended all of his grandchildren\u2019s sporting events and several of his great-grandchildren and was a very dedicated at-home basketball and softball coach. He never met a challenge that couldn\u2019t be conquered or a problem that couldn\u2019t be solved. The word \u2018can\u2019t\u2019 was not allowed! Bob had many self-taught talents including drawing, welding, wood carving, and lego building. Bob engineered many projects in his shop with his dog, Snickers, at his side. Bob loved being surrounded by family and was happiest during these times. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette A. Fuhrman of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Vickie (Larry) Rumschlag of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Julie (Howard \u201cBub\u201d) Jones of Decatur, Indiana; five grandchildren, Jim (Stephanie) Geimer, Emily Murray, Laura (Fate Harris) Geimer, Tyler (Sarah) Jones, and Sam (Sarah) Jones; seven great-grandchildren, Caleb, Austin, & Caidyn Geimer and Grayson, Elyana, Arya & David Jones; three step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven R. Fuhrman in infancy; two sisters, Martha Stober and Jan Jackson; and two brothers, Burl and Earl Fuhrman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at St. Mark\u2019s Church in Decatur with Rev. David Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery with Military Graveside Honors conducted by the American Legion Post 43 Auxiliary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Family and friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Memorials in Bob\u2019s name can be given to St. Mark\u2019s Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
