It was another win in the ACAC Wednesday night, one night later than originally scheduled, as the Heritage Patriots won 14-1 in just five innings of play against Bluffton thanks to a three-hit night from Andrew Mirelez and five innings of one-run ball from Noah Redmon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Singles by Mirelez and Redmon in the top of the first inning led to a pair of runs by the Patriots before Redmon ever took the mound. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrew Mirelez knocked in his brother, Max, in the second inning, but Bluffton got to Redmon in the bottom of the inning, stringing together a couple of hits and taking advantage of a little bit of wildness by the Heritage ace to push a run across. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rest of the night belonged to Heritage. Redmon led off the third with a double and later scored on a hit by Landri Linder, who had three RBI in the contest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heritage really erupted in the fourth inning, batting around and scoring eight times to push the game into run-rule danger. Two different Bluffton pitchers walked the bases loaded and hit a batter to make it 10-1. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Patriots loaded the bases again with two outs and Andrew Mirelez made the Tigers pay with a home run to left to make the score 14-1. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Redmon allowed just two singles in the final two frames and Heritage pushed their season record to 14-2 with the victory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next on the slate for coach Dean Lehrman’s team is a home game against Jay County Thursday, followed by another game on Monroeville Road on Friday against Manchester. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
