After Bellmont scored wins at No. 1 singles and at No. 2 doubles, the top doubles teams for the Braves and Lions went deep into the third set to decide the winner of the NE8 match at Leo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ultimately, it was the Leo team of Sophie Amstutz and Medline Lamont who took the third 7-5, but it was the valiant effort of Marisol Jackson and Isabelle Ortiz in the second set to come back and force the third that was most admirable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junior varsity matches were cut short due to lightning in the area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Braves have one week of the regular season remaining before the IHSAA Sectional. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
