Another round on the back nine had a different result for the Bellmont Braves Wednesday night. After losing to an excellent Huntington North team Tuesday night on the back nine, the Braves pulled out a 167-169 victory over Columbia City to move to 5-2 on the year and 2-2 in the NE8. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Owen Minnick again led the way for the home team, taking medalist honors with the same score (35) as Tuesday. He took a different route, though, Wednesday. Instead of the eagle on 18 like he had the night before, Minnick scored birdies on the Par 3 No. 11 and the long No. 15. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bellmont also got a birdie from their No. 5 when Carson Manley hit a great drive to get in position to make birdie on No. 17. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Braves made five pars on the 18th hole in the varsity match. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coach Ty Razo’s team will play Thursday night at the Portland Golf Club against Jay County and Bluffton. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
