Bellmont won just one event in the track meet at New Haven Tuesday in beautiful weather, with Hayden Whittenbarger winning the 3200 M. The Braves got good performances from Will Kintz, Alex Schirack and Harry Gunsett, but they weren’t enough to score winning points against a top team like the Bulldogs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Junior Will Kintz set a new season best in the 200, finishing best among the Braves runners in 25.23. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Evan Sovine ran his best 800 of the year and finished in fourth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Hayden Whittenbarger cracked the five-minute mark for the first time and finished second in an extremely close finish with New Haven’s Orion McGlaughn, who won by .04 seconds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Hudson Krull also ran a career best in the mile, taking third behind Whittenbarger in 5:10.23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Bellmont’s 4×100 team ran a new season best against the Bulldogs. Taking second place were Jackson Hicks, Parker Frietas, Evan Sovine and Will Kintz in 46.26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Isaiah Herman equaled his career best and scored points for the Braves in the high jump as all three varsity participants finished at 5′ 2″.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Herman also set a new PR in the long jump, going 16′ 3″.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Zayne Roop was fourth in the discus with a season-best distance of 89′ 9″.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
