{"id":1543,"date":"2023-04-28T16:55:53","date_gmt":"2023-04-28T20:55:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=1543"},"modified":"2023-04-28T16:55:55","modified_gmt":"2023-04-28T20:55:55","slug":"two-decatur-businesses-set-to-merge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2023\/04\/28\/two-decatur-businesses-set-to-merge\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Decatur businesses set to merge"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By BOB SHRALUKA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>WZBD.com<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bear&#8217;s Den is closing its downtown Decatur location after merging with Mind&#8217;s Eye Graphics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs we are getting ready to celebrate our year anniversary at Minds Eye we wanted to announce that we are merging with Bear\u2019s Den, another local family business in Decatur, Mind&#8217;s Eye said in a Facebook posting. \u201cWe are able to increase our embroidery business and Pam (Bergdall) will be joining our team at Minds Eye.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBears Den is merging with Mind\u2019s Eye Graphics where we will continue to serve this community with custom apparel products and much more,\u201d Bergdall said in a Facebook posting. \u201cI will be working for Mind\u2019s Eye and still get to do all the things I\u2019ve loved doing at the Bear&#8217;s Den.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bear&#8217;s Den&#8217;s last day open to the public will be Friday, May 5, and it is currently selling out its store on Second St. between Monroe and Jackson streets. It is no longer accepting any orders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mind&#8217;s Eye Graphics LLC is located in at 1019 Commerce Drive in Industrial Park I in Decatur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs we continue to expand our services and are able to offer Screenprinting, Contract Screenprinting, Embroidery, Digital Fusion, Cad Cut\/Heat Press Lettering of glitter and thermal film, Thermal Film numbering and Banners,\u201d Mind&#8217;s Eye said in its Facebook post. \u201cWe will continue to provide unique printed apparel.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"348\" height=\"234\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/98.158.76.108\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/95C11125103D443D9B14B186041714A0.jpg?resize=348%2C234\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1544\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/95C11125103D443D9B14B186041714A0.jpg?w=348&amp;ssl=1 348w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/95C11125103D443D9B14B186041714A0.jpg?resize=300%2C202&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 348px) 100vw, 348px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Greg Kitson of Decatur opened Mind&#8217;s Eye in 1981 and operated it until retiring in March, when it was purchased by partners Betsey and Trent Gamble along with Rob and Jacque Welch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Gambles also own Betsey\u2019s Boutique Shop, which was founded in 2011 in Rockford, Ohio.
