Norwell dominated Friday’s South Adams Track & Field Invite, which was held at Bluffton due to construction at the South Adams facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notes & Results:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Emmerson Smith (SA) reached the 100 finals (where she finished fourth) with a season-best time in the prelims of 14.02.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Smith was also fast in the 200 finals, running a career best and taking seventh in 28.50. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Quinn Buchan of Bellmont took fourth in the 400 with her best time this season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Keeley Carpenter won the 800 for the Braves with her best time of the season (2:35.49).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Nia Litwiller (SA) cut six seconds from her career best to finish in fourth in the 800.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Starfire teammate Kalle Trausch also set a PR in the 800 and finished 12th. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Adalynn Watson (SA) was runner-up in the 1600 with a new PR. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Nia Litwiller was not far behind her freshman teammate in the 1600, breaking six minutes herself for the first time and taking fourth place in 5:58.71.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ava Schmit (SA) won the 100 M hurdles with her best time of the year (16.96).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Schmit also won the 300 hurdles with a season best, giving the Starfires a 1-2 finish with Kapri Bixler. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-The 4×400 team of Aleena Bierbaum, Ava Schmit, Nia Litwiller and Stella McIntire finished second to Norwell, but set a new season mark for the team at 4:33.54. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Bellmont’s 4×4 team also set a new season mark, with Keeley Carpenter, Madison Witte, Taylor Louis and Adi Knipstein teaming up to take third place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-The Starfires narrowly missed keeping Norwell from sweeping the relays, finishing in second with their best performance in the 4×800 this season. Adalynn Watson, Nia Litwiller, Aleena Bierbaum and Kalle Trausch finished in 10:42.73. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Madison Witte, Chloe Garcia, Lilly Franz and Quinn Buchan ran a season-best time for the Braves in the 4×800 and finished in fifth place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Hailey Cole won the throwing events with plenty of distance to spare in both events. Her distance of 108-08 is a new PR for the first-year thrower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Megan Yoder (SA) had her best discus throw of the season and finished sixth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
