The Heritage Patriots won plenty of points in the field events to finish in fifth place Friday night at the New Haven Relays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Notes & Results: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
-DiNestee Williams-White ran the best 200 of her career and finished in 11th place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Williams-White also set a PR in the 400 and took third place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Olivia Lybarger’s time of 1:07.27 was the best of her career. She finished in 14th place in the 400.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Natalie Otte ran a career-best 2:54.40, good for 21st place in the 800. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Ava Smith cut ten seconds from her best time in the mile, finishing in 16th place in 6:20.60. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Sophie Burke also made major improvement in her 1600, trimming 37 seconds from the time she clocked against Adams Central and Southern Wells earlier in the month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Rosalinda Medina cut 4.5 seconds from her previous season best to take fifth place in 52.42 in the 300 M hurdles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
-The Patriot relay team set a new season best in the 4×100 with Trinitee Brown, Olivia Lybarger, DiNestee Williams-White and Piper Pierce. Their time of 52.94 is the fastest of any Z-Land relay team this year in that event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Maya Gerber won the shot put with her best throw (38′ 7″) of the year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Madilyn Scheumann set a PR and finished second in the shot behind her teammate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Scheumann had her first big discus toss of the season, going 104′ 3″ and taking third place for Heritage, just one place ahead of Gerber. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
