MONROEVILLE – Noah Redmon was dominant in every part of the game Saturday for Heritage as he and his Patriot teammates mowed down the Whitko Wildcats in a 10-1 non-conference contest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Redmon struck out ten batters and allowed just one hit in six innings of work. He took a no-hitter into the top of the fifth inning before allowing a single to the leadoff batter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ironically, the Patriots actually played from behind at the start of the game after Redmon walked the first batter of the game, one of four free passes issued by the ace, and Whitko moved him around and scored the game’s first run on a sacrifice fly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Redmon rectified that mistake quickly, driving in the go-ahead run in the bottom half of the inning to put his team up 2-1. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They never looked back. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrew Mirelez was the catalyst for several rallies, reaching on singles in all three plate appearances and scoring all three times. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Redmon also had two hits and knocked in Mirelez both times. Landon Lybarger also reached base three times for the home team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brady Richman got the final three outs in relief, striking out two. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Patriots are scheduled for a few days off before picking back up with a road game at Dwenger. Redmon is likely to take the hill against the Saints, unless coach Lehrman decides not to let BD get a look at his ace before sectional. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
