Darr"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>September 3, 1948 &#8211; April 26, 2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/98.158.76.108\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Jim-Darr.jpg?resize=200%2C200\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1462\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Jim-Darr.jpg?w=200&amp;ssl=1 200w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Jim-Darr.jpg?resize=150%2C150&amp;ssl=1 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>James A. \u201cJim\u201d Darr, 74, of Ossian Indiana passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Ossian Health Care in Ossian, Indiana.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was born on September 3, 1948, in Decatur, Indiana to the late Dwight F. Darr and the late Gladys W. (Wynn) Derr. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<br>He worked at Decatur Industries, Decatur Boat Factory, and he retired from Phelps Dodge in Fort Wayne, after 29 years of service.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jim enjoyed baseball, especially the Chicago Cubs. &nbsp;He loved model trains, and set up a train set in his home basement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Survivors include two sons, James \u201cJJ\u201dA. Darr Jr. of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Steve (Erika) Darr of Florida; sister, Cheryl L. (Jerry) Kelsey of Willshire, Ohio; and three grandchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jim was preceded in death by one daughter, Nichole Darr in infancy; and one sister, Judith A. Crabill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A funeral service for Jim will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Zwick &amp; Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur with Pastor Ryan Marsh officiating.
