The Hoosier State Relays State Finals took place on Saturday and the newly renovated Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. In the Small School portion of the Finals, which involved schools that are in Class 1A-3A in Football, several area athletes took part. The best performance came from Bellmont’s Hailey Cole, who placed 3rd in the Shot Put in just her 3rd meet. Her throw of 39’4.5″ surpassed the previous record of 38’8″ set by Robin Schuller in 1991.
