Lucinda Marvalene (Sprunger) Coblentz, 92, of Berne, Indiana passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Envive in Berne, Indiana. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was born on February 4, 1932, in Berne, Indiana to the late Oscar and Emma (Hofstetter) Sprunger.               <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was united in marriage to Larry Leon Coblentz Sr. on May 22, 1955, at First Mennonite Church in Berne. He preceded her in death. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lucinda was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and was a Compassion Ministry volunteer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was a devoted wife and mother and loved raising her family more than anything. She loved spending time with her kids all the way up to her great-great-grandchildren. Loving, caring, compassionate, always smiling, was the \u201cglue\u201d that holds the family together. When the kids \u201cacted up\u201d she always pointed a finger and said \u201cwait till your dad gets home!\u201d She was an avid recycler and babysitter when needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lucinda is survived by her daughter, Cindy Arnold of Berne, Indiana; daughter, Sonja (Dale) Bridges of Westmoreland, Tennessee; son, Larry Coblentz Jr. of Bellaire, Michigan, daughter, Mindy (Cowboy) Deming of Bullhead City, Arizona; son, Gary Coblentz of Salt Lake City, Utah; daughter, Tonja (Ernie) Serna of Olathe, Kansas; son, Barry Coblentz of Berne, Indiana; sister, Clarnell (Sprunger) Smith of Berne, Indiana; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.           <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to her husband and parents; she was preceded in death by a brother, Omer Sprunger.                           <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Celebration of life service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2024, with Pastor Thomas Craig officiating at Berne Senior Center following the service there will be a time for visiting and sharing stories until 2:30 p.m.  Burial will take place at a later date at M.R.E. Cemetery in Berne, Indiana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friends and family will be received from 2-7 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials to the family. (checks payable to Barry Coblentz)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
