Ellie also is an usher at the iconic Ryman Auditorium, where the Grand Old Opry became a national treasure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After graduation from Bellmont High School, the daughter of Heidi and Aaron Baker of near Decatur moved to Nashville in the fall of 2020 to attend Belmont University. She majored in Music Business and, thanks to the AP and Dual Credit offerings at BHS, fast-tracked her degree, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in only three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI began working at the Ryman Auditorium in my final year of college,\u201d Ellie said. \u201cI loved the job from the get-go! My dream job and reason for attending Belmont University was to one day be able to work in a music venue where I had the ability to experience live music as often as I possibly could.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"384\" height=\"288\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/676EFCCE7D17442D87B63C56256ECB46.jpg?resize=384%2C288&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14110\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/676EFCCE7D17442D87B63C56256ECB46.jpg?w=384&amp;ssl=1 384w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/676EFCCE7D17442D87B63C56256ECB46.jpg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 384px) 100vw, 384px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>The Ryman Auditorium<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Ryman Auditorium is such an amazing venue to work at in Nashville; it lives up to its legendary name every day,\u201d she continued. \u201cAt the Ryman, I work the shows as an usher, which means I help with the guest experiences throughout the night, welcoming them into the building, helping find seats, answering questions, etc.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When not busy, she says, \u201cI&#8217;m able to enjoy the show.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And in her year and a half at the Ryman, she&#8217;s seen some great artists \u2013 like Bono, Jason Bonham, Billy Strings and Ed Sheeran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ellie has seen some pretty cool stuff at the Bridgestone, too. Such as KISS, Queen with Adam Lambert, Thomas Rhett, Drake, and Olivia Rodrigo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ellie&#8217;s first full-time job in the music industry came in 2023 at the Bridgestone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"587\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/66E9776C999B4B429E3D87F1842D8FDB.jpg?resize=500%2C587&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14111\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/66E9776C999B4B429E3D87F1842D8FDB.jpg?w=500&amp;ssl=1 500w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/66E9776C999B4B429E3D87F1842D8FDB.jpg?resize=256%2C300&amp;ssl=1 256w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Baker standing outside Bridgestone Arena.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMy position at Bridgestone Arena involves the marketing of the shows the arena hosts, more so than the marketing of the Nashville Predators team and games,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur marketing team manages the social media outlets and website for the arena, so we announce shows coming soon and promote them accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMost of the communications from the arena come from our lovely little arena marketing team, so I spend lots of time creating emails that we send to locals of Nashville and guests who visit the arena.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There&#8217;s more: \u201cWe also coordinate backstage promotions for the artists coming through the building, which means creating welcome boards to display back stage, picking out fun artist gifts for big shows, and communicating with the tour promoter to make sure everything goes as smooth as possible,\u201d Ellie said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAlthough our marketing teams split the responsibilities, I do some work for the (hockey) team by promoting their upcoming games in our outlets and selecting shows to promote in their games.
