The first round of qualifiers for the upcoming Hoosier State Relays were held Tuesday at Indiana Tech. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Piper Pierce (Heritage) started her year off with a PR in the long jump, taking fourth place with a distance of 16′ 4″.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-South Adams’ Kapri Bixler also did the same for the Starfires, finishing in ninth with an effort of 15′ 1.25″.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Tia Coyne of Bellmont produced her career best in the long jump with a distance of 12′ 7.5″.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Hailey Cole (Bellmont) made a splash with her first career attempt at the shot this year, finishing in third place, just behind defending sectional discus champ Makenna Dommer of New Haven. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
